A Cashless system is a RFID-chip-based payment system that replaces cash money and allows for faster, easier and safer payments at festivals. You can pay for drinks during PÂVOIA Festival with your wristband, recharge it at the cashless point on the festival grounds and get your money back after the festival.
The system is designed to make your visit as pleasant as possible. It simplifies service at the bar and reduces wait substantially. Additionally, this system is designed to avoid awkward top-up and refund procedures as they are usually practiced. You can just go ahead and use your wristband as a means to pay at the bar up to your limit and re-charge it anytime.
Drinks at PÂVOIA Festival can only be purchased using via your RFID wristband. The food trucks at PÂVOIA’25 will still operate in cash, so make sure to bring some cash along as well.
Yes, it is possible to top-up your wristband in cash (EUR) or by card at one of the dedicated top-up stations.
You can view your current balance at any time at any bar, stand or cashless point. Just ask for account balance and they will show it to you on the display.
Do not worry, when your balance ends, you can always recharge your wristband, as often you want.
Yes, your wristband will keep working rain or shine!
You can request a refund of your remaining money if you have at least €10 remaining on your wristband. The request can be made until eight weeks after the festival. Please keep your wristband and request the refund through the festival’s website.
You can claim your money back via bank transfer. In order to do this, you will need to send us an email to love@pavoia.com and provide us with the following information in the email:
- Name
- UID (User ID), can be found on the back of your RFID chip
- Security Code, can be found on the back of your RFID chip under PIN
- IBAN
- Swift/BIC
To claim back your unspent pennies it is very important that you keep your wristband or make a note of the number printed on the back of your wristband. This is because you need this number so your wristband and any unspent money can be identified. IF YOU THROW YOUR WRISTBAND AWAY OR DO NOT MAKE A NOTE OF THE NUMBER ON THE BACK OF THE RFID CHIP, WE MAY NOT BE ABLE TO PROCESS YOUR REFUND.
*Please note: The refunds exclude any incentive credit that was received as part of a pre-festival top-up. Those are non-refundable.
Online refunds will open on the Wednesday after the festival and you will have until eight weeks to claim your refund. The refund will be paid back in regular intervals until after the refund period is finished. Please take into account that processing all the requested refunds might take some time.
The length of the refund period has been set up and communicated in advance by us. Unfortunately, if the period has passed, refunds cannot be processed anymore.
No, we do not collect any personalized data. Personalized data will not be stored or evaluated in connection with your consumption.
Your data is stored securely and solely for immediate processing of your cashless payments in accordance with our terms of service and DSGVO. After the event and after your payments have been processed completely your data will be deleted immediately. This also applies if you do not spend anything.
If you have any questions, you can contact us at love@pavoia.com. During the festival you’ll find our staff at the cashless top-up stations for questions or assistance.
PÂVOIA — CASHLESS PAYMENT TERMS & CONDITIONS
Effective for the PÂVOIA Festival 2026 | Building Roots UG, Thusneldastraße 1, 22525 Hamburg, Germany
1. Why Cashless Payment?
We, Building Roots UG, Thusneldastraße 1, 22525 Hamburg (hereinafter: „PÂVOIA“), operate a cashless payment system at the festival grounds in partnership with Weezevent (https://www.weezevent.com/), 10 Rue Morice, 92110 Clichy, France. The cashless payment system simplifies all transactions on the festival grounds and significantly reduces waiting times at bars and vendors. You do not need to carry cash or bank cards. You can monitor your balance at any time, and have your wristband blocked immediately if you experience any issues.
2. How Does the Cashless System Work?
Upon arrival at PÂVOIA, you will receive an RFID wristband with a chip onto which you can load credit and use to pay for all purchases on the festival grounds. To pay, simply hold your wristband against the reader at any bar or vendor point.
The cashless payment system is operated by our partner Weezevent.
3. How Do I Get My Wristband?
You will receive your RFID wristband at the accreditation tent at the main festival entrance upon presenting your valid ticket and ID. Your wristband will be activated and any pre-loaded credit — including Pavozzi bonus credit — will be applied automatically at this point.
4. How Do I Top Up Credit?
You can top up your wristband either online before the festival or at the cashless payment stations on-site during the festival. There is a 1€ top-up activation fee.
To top up online, you must first create a virtual account and link it to your ticket barcode number. This can be done before the festival begins via the PÂVOIA website or the cashless payment page linked in your ticket confirmation email. Once your account is set up, you can return at any time, check your balance, and top up again — as many times as you like before the festival start.
Payment methods accepted for online top-ups: Credit Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal.
Payment methods accepted at on-site cashless stations: EC Card, Credit Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay.
5. What Are Pavozzi? (Pre-Event Bonus Credit)
To reward Citizens who top up their wristband before the festival, PÂVOIA offers free bonus credit in our exclusive festival currency: Pavozzi. 1 Pavozzi = 1 Euro, and Pavozzi can be used to pay for anything on the festival grounds excluding external food trucks.
The following pre-event top-up tiers apply:
Pay €50 → Receive €55 (+€5 in Pavozzi)
Pay €100 → Receive €112.50 (+€12.50 in Pavozzi)
Pay €150 → Receive €170 (+€20 in Pavozzi)
Pay €200 → Receive €225 (+€25 in Pavozzi)
Important: Pavozzi are non-refundable. They are issued as a bonus incentive and cannot be converted back to cash or transferred to another account. Any remaining Pavozzi balance after the festival will expire and is not subject to the standard refund process. Only the regular Euro credit portion of your balance is eligible for a refund (see Section 9).
6. Can I Check My Balance?
Your current balance is displayed after every transaction at all vendor points on the festival grounds. You can also check your full balance and transaction history at the on-site cashless payment stations or online via your virtual account (if you have set one up prior to the festival).
7. How Do I Pay With My Wristband?
Hold your wristband against the reader at the point of sale. The reader will display your remaining balance after the transaction. If an unexpected amount has been charged, please raise this immediately on-site so the transaction can be cancelled if necessary.
Please note: you cannot reverse a completed payment yourself. If the issue cannot be resolved on-site, please contact us using the details at the end of this document.
Please keep your wristband safe at all times. If you lose your wristband or pass it to another person, any credit on it can be used by others. No refund will be issued in such cases.
8. What Happens If My Wristband Is Lost or Not Working?
If your wristband has a technical fault, it can be blocked free of charge and replaced with a new wristband carrying your transferred balance.
If you have lost your wristband, you can also have it blocked free of charge and receive a replacement wristband with your balance transferred, provided your wristband is linked to a virtual account.
For all enquiries of this nature, please contact us at: love@pavoia.com
9. Is My Wristband Personalised or Anonymous?
Your wristband chip carries a unique chip ID, which is linked to your name and email address in your virtual account. This data is required for the purposes of credit transfer and refund processing. Your virtual account also records when, at which vendor point, and in what amount credit was deducted from your wristband. This data is used for settlement with on-site vendors and to help PÂVOIA improve its offering in future. All data is anonymised before analysis. For further information on data processing, please refer to our Privacy Policy on the PÂVOIA website.
You may not transfer your wristband to another person (e.g. sell or gift it). However, you are of course welcome to hand it to a friend so they can buy you a drink.
10. How Does the Refund Process Work?
Within eight weeks of the end of the festival, you must submit your refund request via your virtual account. Your remaining regular Euro credit balance will then be refunded to you free of charge by Weezevent.
After eigth weeks following the end of the festival, refund requests must be submitted by email to: love@pavoia.com. Please include your bank account details and your chip number. The balance will then be refunded free of charge by Building Roots UG.
Please retain your wristband until you have received your refund. The right to a refund is non-transferable.
Please note: Pavozzi (bonus credit) and any other promotional credit for which no payment was made are strictly non-refundable and will not be included in any refund calculation. Only the regular Euro credit you personally topped up is eligible for a refund.
A minimum balance of €10 is required to be eligible for a refund after the festival.
